The Fishing Trip
This trip is for the angler who wants to discover the sensational, rugged and untouched East Coast of New Caledonia, a memorable adventure with big fish and variety on offer.
Fishing the east coast of New Caledonia for big GT’s, pelagics and jigging for reef dwellers is the main attraction of this location. Monster class GT’s over 50kg are regularly encountered with the majority of GT’s in the 30kg plus range. Fishing is around plenty of independent reef systems, atolls and drop offs. Poindemie also offers anglers the opportunity to target big yellowfin tuna on poppers. In season, big fish of up to 60kg can be caught outside the reef systems. Other popular species on the east coast include coral trout, wahoo, spanish mackerel, mahi mahi, emperor and green jobfish.
If jigging is your thing then this trip offers you the opportunity to target a huge range of reef and pelagic fish including dogtooth & yellowfin tuna, spanish mackeral, amberjack, coral trout, green jobfish, puka puka, blue cod, red bass to name but a few.
The Experience
New Caledonia’s North East Coast is a spectacular destination, with a huge lagoon and a series of individual outer reefs. Anglers get the opportunity to target trophy sportfish in a stunning, remote location whilst staying at the superb Tieti Tera Resort, providing incredible sportfishing by day, and boutique accommodation by night.

Your Vessel & Guide
Fish aboard a custom designed 25 foot centre console offering an excellent fishing platform for up to
3 anglers. You will be hosted by internationally renowned guide Etienne Picquel. Tackle is provided on a replace-if-lost basis, including Saltiga Dogfight reels, custom Illex GT Rods and Orion Lures.
Getting There
New Caledonia is a short 2.5 hour flight from Sydney, 1.45 hour flight from Brisbane and 3 hour flight from Auckland. Air Calin, Qantas and Air New Zealand offer daily flights to Noumea. Upon your arrival at the Airport you will be met by an Ocean Blue representative and transferred to Tieti Tera Beach Resort, 4 hours NE of the airport.
