The Fishing Trip
Fishing Port Vila has a lot to offer besides trolling for marlin, skipper Andrea Traverso has a winning combination of a superb vessel, genuine hospitality and his vast knowledge to get them most out of this fishery.
We will meet you each morning, transfer you to your vessel where you will fish locations such as the famous Marlin Highway, Erromango Sea Mounts, Nguna Volcano and Hat Island. For anglers chasing big blue marlin this trip is ideal. The waters within 20 minutes of our Port Vila base offer some of the best blue marlin fishing found anywhere in the world. Other species you will encounter include black and striped marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo and dogtooth tuna.
The Experience
On a typical day we will have you out fishing at dawn and back to port late afternoon for that well earned ale waiting for you at the dockside bar. In the evening, take the opportunity to experience Vanuatu’s fine cuisine with a visit to one of the many restaurants, bistros and bars. When you’re not fishing, experience the many attractions on offer including the cascade waterfalls, reef excursions, diving and golf, or simply relax by the resort pool. Enjoy superb big game fishing without compromising the creature comforts of your resort… the perfect combination!

Your Vessel & Guide
Fish on board this beautiful 318 EdgeWater centre console Azzurra, a sportfishing boat for up to 6 anglers. You will be hosted by renowned Captains Andrea Traverso. Tackle is provided including a full range of Shimano rods and reels for gamefishing, popper casting and vertical jigging.
Getting There
Vanuatu is a short 3.5 hour flight from Sydney, 2.5 hour flight from Brisbane and 3 hour flight from Auckland. Air Vanuatu, Pacific Blue and Air New Zealand offer daily flights to Port Vila. Upon arrival into Port Vila airport you will be met by an Ocean Blue representative, then transfered to your hotel, The Sebel Vanuatu.
