Our Remote Islands, Live on Board Expeditions combines the comforts of staying on one of our big catamarans providing superb accommodation comforts while fishing duties are with our 32ft EdgeWater sport fishers. For anglers seeking the ultimate in live on board fishing trips, looking to push boundaries and explore new frontiers. You’ll spend your days fishing remote untouched islands, pristine reef systems, steep island cliff faces and vast underwater sea mounts for Vanuatu’s infamous dogtooth tuna, GT’s, big pelagics & plenty more!

The Experience

Upon arrival into Port Vila you will be transferred by our private bus to our lodge Trees and Fishes to board your live on board catamaran, initial briefing from the skipper, guides & crew. 1st evening onboard, great meals are prepared using the freshest island grown ingredients which keep anglers taste buds and energy levels up for the week.

“Farabuleau” 46ft Fontaine Pajot

Our 46ft catamaran “Farabuleau” is perfect for 4 single anglers offering the highest onboard comforts and access to the most remote Vanuatu islands. She balances well under sail with an easy to handle genoa. Her steering station is unique in design and quality, as is her vast and well protected cockpit. Stylish and comfortable transom steps and clean deck plan allow for easy movement around the boat. The size of the saloon has allowed the inclusion of a superb bar which separates the space. Highlight for guests is the ample covered rear social and exterior lounge area offering a superb setting and ambience for your adventure.

Our Edgewater 32 Sportfishers

Sports fishing on board our beautiful 32ft EdgeWater centre consoles provide a fully equipped sportfishing vessel ideally suited for up to 4 anglers. Tackle is provided including a full range of Shimano gear for gamefishing, medium and light tackle. Top of the range popping and jigging gear is provided (Replace if lost or Broken basis). Andrea Traverso & his team of guides offer genuine hospitality onboard, and we’ll customise the trip to suit the groups requests.

Getting There

By own arrangements, fly directly into Port Vila, Vanuatu. Upon arrival you will be transferred by bus on to board your live on board catamaran, initial briefing from the skipper, guides & crew.

Friday 7th October
Upon arrival into Port Vila you will be transferred toTrees and Fishes Anglers Retreat to board your live on board catamaran. Take in the initial briefing from the captain, guides & crew. 1st evening onboard, great meals are prepared using the freshest island grown ingredients which keep anglers taste buds and energy levels up for the week.

Saturday 8th – Wednesday 12th October
Board the 32ft EdgeWaters & commence first full day sports fishing Vanuatu’s remote frontier. During the 4 1/2 days you’ll fish pristine reef systems, underwater sea mounts and remote volcanic islands with steep cliff faces not only offering superb fishing but spectacular scenery. Target Vanuatu’s premier sportfishing species including GT’s, red bass, coral trout, jobfish, wahoo and of course Vanuatu’s famous dogtooth tuna – a species we specialise in targeting on poppers as well as vertical jigging. Trophy pelagics including yellowfin tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi while billfish are always around. After each days fishing you will rejoin the mothership at one of the secluded anchorages visited during the expedition, enjoy a swim or a few cold beers on deck before dinner.

Return late morning ready for your afternoon transfer to the airport for your return flight.
