Ocean Blue is offering the perfect opportunity for a select few anglers to join this exploratory live on board expedition! Fishing aboard a Cresta 46 game fisher, you’ll experience some of the most remote angling around the northern Vanuatu island of Santo. On this trip you’ll explore pristine fishing grounds and target a variety of species using a variety of bluewater gamefishing techniques, including trolling, live baiting and jigging. Depending on the interests of all on board we have the flexibility of tailoring the itinerary to suit anglers requests. We aim at targeting species that are plentiful during that time frame including yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo, sailfish, dogtooth tuna and various species of marlin, aswell as GT's, red bass, coral trout, and job fish giving all on board plenty of rod time. The dates have been to selected to coincide with the lead up to the full moon, this will be a popular trip.
Below is the sample itinerary for your consideration.
Day 1
Arrive in Espiritu Santo. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the Coral Quays hotel for your first evening of accommodation. Enjoy
the rest of the day at your own leisure.
Day 2 - Day 5
Board your vessel early morning and commence your charter.
During this expedition you’ll fish grounds rarely visited by other anglers. Pristine reef systems, underwater sea mounts and remote volcanic islands with steep cliff faces not only offer superb fishing but spectacular scenery. Target a variety of species from yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi and giant trevally. Then there’s sailfish, wahoo, black marlin, striped marlin and ofcourse Vanuatu’s famous blue marlin.
If jigging is your thing then massive dogtooth tuna, coral trout,
jobfish and red bass will test your will and tackle. After an enjoyable days fishing you will return to one of the many secluded calm anchorages where you can enjoy a swim, snorkel or venture on shore. Enjoy a well earned beer before dinner, or even stir up a few more fish from your anchorage. Accommodation is on board each evening. On your last day of charter, after arriving back to port, enjoy a drink with the crew before heading to the airport for your domestic flight to Port Vila. A transfer will be provided to take you
to your accommodation.
Day 6
Transfer will be provided from your accommodation to the airport in time for your return flight. Departure is from Port Vila.
