Australia and New Zealand\u2019s travel bubble is finally operational. If things go well, we may see you sooner than you think.<\/p>\n
Just a couple of days ago, the trans-Tasman travel bubble has opened, allowing New Zealanders to travel to NSW, ACT, and the Northern Territory.<\/p>\n
The main rule was that travellers from NZ, couldn’t have stayed in a COVID-19 hotspot in the past 14 days.<\/p>\n
New Zealand, however, won’t allow quarantine-free travel across the Tasman just yet. Recent commentary by New Zealand PM Jacinta Ardern gave some confidence Aussies may be able to travel to New Zealand very soon.<\/p>\n
With domestic and NZ borders finally starting to open, can we expect the Pacific Bubble to finally materialise soon?<\/p>\n
Our friends in Singapore and Hong Kong have also taken steps to resume travel by arranging their own \u2018Air Travel Bubble\u2019 <\/a> .<\/p>\n The \u2018Air Travel Bubble\u2019 announced last week will allow quarantine-free travel between the two cities for any reason, business or pleasure.<\/p>\n The only requirement is that travellers provide a negative COVID19 test result.<\/p>\n A limited number of dedicated flights will start soon to test the waters, which has been agreed upon due to the low case numbers in both countries.<\/p>\n
