When it comes to innovation in centre consoles, its hard to go past Invincible with their new age approach of incorporating racing technology with fishability. We were lucky enough to catch up with Sam Wallrock from Boat Monster<\/a> at the Sydney International boat show to take a look at the Invincible 33 catamaran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are Invincible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2006, Invincible Boats has built its reputation on semi-custom, high-performance, saltwater sportfishing boats. In 2016, they tapped the hull design skills of Morrelli & Melvin<\/a> to craft an exceptional design for their first power catamarans. Now they’ve put their big cat performance into a smaller form. The Invincible 33′ Catamaran promises all the versatility, agility, and speed of its larger siblings. Can it deliver? Let’s take a closer look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet the Invincible 33 Catamaran<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Invincible<\/a> 33′ Catamaran is a centre console power cat introduced in October 2020 at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show. And it got a lot of attention. Pre-orders began flooding in. And why not? Invincible’s boats have a reputation for their speed, stability, and fishability. And the 33′, their fifth catamaran and tenth boat overall, is no exception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has a 33’11” (10.3m) LOA with a 10’3″ (3.1m) beam. That ratio makes the 33′ exceptionally stable, even in rough waters. The single-level deck and 360\u00ba walk around to enhance its fishability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twin outboard motors with a maximum of 900 HP ensure the Invincible 33′ Catamaran will get you where you want to be in short order. Being able to customize it to your liking lets you make sure your boat is unlike any other.<\/p>\n\n\n

Invincible Advantages<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Like all Invincible boats, this cat is built for fishing. It’s specially designed for serious offshore anglers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike most power catamarans in the market Invincible have moved away from the usual power cat which is generally driven from midship on the port or starboard. Making this a centre console cat creates a more spacious and stable boat whilst giving you a 360 degree walk-around deck allowing the anglers to fish whatever style they want. <\/p>\n\n\n

Multihull VS Monohull<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While not as popular as single hulls, catamarans definitely have a special place in inshore and offshore fishing. Drawing less than a single-hull yet being a lot more stable when at rest is a huge advantage compared to a monohull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a wide beam that runs the length of the boat thanks to the multihull design, this extra beam allows the boat to be a lot more stable at rest compared to its single-hull counterparts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Invincible 33 Catamaran’s deck creates an abundance of space. So, there’s plenty of room for you and several mates to fish without tripping over each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Invincible Hull <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each Invincible catamaran model utilises the patented hybrid semi-asymmetrical multihull design created by Morrelli & Melvin exclusively for Invincible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone that has been on a catamaran knows that feeling of a cat heeling on a turn or a following sea, with the Morelli & Melvin design it allows the boat to turn without heeling. It remains perfectly level at all speeds\u2014which is an amazing feat.<\/p>\n\n\n
