Chloe is a regular contributor to fishing media, including contributions to one of Australia’s leading fishing publications, Fishing World magazine. So if you fancy fishing with your better half next to you in warm tropical waters, casting poppers offshore for trophy yellowfin tuna & mahi mahi, or dropping your jig for dogtooth tuna and amberjack and making memories. The Fishing Trip
During this adventure you’ll visit steep volcanic islands, bommies and seamounts, fringing reefs, current fed island passages, offshore FAD’s & bluewater, all offering anglers a great mix of fishing techniques, superb variety of species & spectacular scenery and share some of your fishing passion with Mark Berg. Imagine casting poppers offshore for big yellowfin & mahi mahi, or dropping jigs for dogtooth tuna or deep reef fish, then coming in close to the islands for red bass, bluefin trevally and GT’s. For 4 lucky anglers, our big EdgeWater 32 centre console is the perfect platform for this tropical sportfishing adventure.
The Experience
We greet you at the airport then transfer you in our private bus to Trees and Fishes Angler’s Retreat, an ideal base for the week and one that provides every available comfort to discerning guests. From here, you’ll be fishing areas no one else can reach, popping, jigging, sport and gamefishing waters alongside towering jungle clad islands, deep pinnacles, fringing reefs, FAD’s and bluewater locations. Fishing 4 x full days of action from breakfast till late afternoon, you’ll step off the boat each day onto our private jetty, greeted by our smiling staff with a cold refresher towel, ice cold beer and then spoiled with superb food, excellent service and a stunning location. It can’t get much better than that.
Your Accommodation
Trees & Fishes Private Retreat is located within the picturesque sheltered waters of Port Havannah and overlooks the islands of Moso & Lelepa. Aswell as our picture postcard setting this boutique lodge delivers personalised service and a superb level of comfort whilst retaining it’s relaxed, tropical feel. Catering to a maximum of 11 guests, rooms are surrounded by landscaped gardens while the social hub, bar & laid back dining areas are meters from the waterfront. A place for the senses, excellent meals are prepared using the freshest seafood and local ingredients. Then wind down from fishing & watch the sun set over the tranquil waters of Port Havannah.
Our Vessel & Guides – 32ft Edgewater Centre Console
We run 2 fantastic 32ft EdgeWater centre console sportfishers, Al Dente & Azzurra. Fast & stable, for sport and gamefishing these waters they are ideal. We fish a variety of locations and are fortunate to have such a diverse fishery available within a relatively close area. Offshore tackle is provided and we have popping and jigging gear available for anglers who require. Our experienced guides, Andrea Traverso & Eric Festa have unparalleled experience throughout these waters, from extreme sportfishing, stand up game, light tackle or simply out for a great all round sport fishing adventure.
Get To Know Mark Berg
Mark Berg has become a household name in fishing circles after producing more than 1 million Fishing DVD’s over the past eight years.
Mark is now the face of two Fishing shows in Australia – ‘Fishing Addiction’ and the brand new series ‘East Coast Angler’. Mark grew up on the South Coast of NSW and as been fishing his entire life. Over the years Mark has collated a wealth of knowledge across a broad range of fishing applications that he loves to share with his viewers. Mark has released four episode with Ocean Blue Fishing and we look forward to hosting Mark again later on in the year.

10th Aug 2015 Upon arrival into Port Vila you will be transferred to Trees and Fishes Anglers Retreat at picturesque Port Havannah for your first evening of accommodation and meet Mark Berg first hand. Our small private boutique lodge offers 5 star service & superb meals. Trip is based on 3 anglers per boat staying in 2 x triple share cabins.
11th-14th Aug 2015 Board the 32ft EdgeWater & commence first of 4 x full day sports fishing Vanuatu. With options of steep volcanic islands, shallow reefs aswell as offshore FAD’s and bluewater, this trip is about catching fish and having fun! After each days fishing you will return to Trees & Fishes where you can enjoy the evening at your own leisure, have a swim or prepare gear over a few cold beers before a superb dinner from the Trees & Fishes kitchen.
15th Aug 2015 After breakfast you will be transferred from Trees & Fishes to Port Vila Airport in time for your flight home.
