This adventure is suited to anglers specifically targeting billfish. The deep drop off located just off our Trees and Fishes Lodge, offers some of the best big game fishing for blue marlin on the planet. Vanuatu’s shoreline drops off steeply due to its volcanic geography, providing incredibly deep waters close to shore – the perfect environment for calm water blue marlin game fishing! We have also deployed a number of our own FAD’s which aggregate the bait attracting these big fish. You will also encounter the striped and black marlin as well. For those anglers who’d rather fish inshore sailfish are prevalent during winter and spring.

On this fishing trip, you’ll get to fish aboard our U.S. built EdgeWater 32 Centre Console Sport Fishers which offer the perfect platform for casting and jigging. The EdgeWater 32 are the biggest boats in it’s class, offering unrivalled space and comfort for up to 5 anglers. For larger groups, multiple boats are available. The twin 250hp Evinrude E-Tecs will get you to the fishing grounds fast, maximising each fishing day. The unsinkable, sea going capability is unmatched offering you a soft comfortable ride. There are enough rod holders and storage for all your tackle, and ours, so no tripping over gear.

Upon arrival, we will transfer you in our private bus for the leisurely 40 minute drive to Trees and Fishes Angler’s Retreat. On a typical day, enjoy a gourmet breakfast prior to heading out on the water. Return to the lodge late afternoon for a well earned ale waiting for you back at the bar. Then sit down to a superb 3 course dinner while discussing strategy in anticipation for your next day.

Direct flights are available from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland to Port Vila, with connecting flights available from the majority of Australian capital cities.
