Inshore fishing in Vanuatu is within a few miles from our anglers lodge, Trees and Fishes. The close estuaries and coastal bays from our base are popular inshore fishing spots when chasing fish on the close reefs.
The difference between inshore and offshore fishing is the depth of the water, with 30 meters of water being the border between the two. Is one better than the other? Absolutely not. Over the years Ocean Blue has been able to cater for every angler and now seeing more and more couples like Mark and Sonia Boyle who escaped from their busy lifestyle wanting to experience fishing Vanuatu with a variety of sports fishing techniques.
When fishing inshore, our guides will usually take you fishing within a few miles of shore and, more often than not, within casting distance of popular spots/seamounts and islands with light tackle. Fishing with Ocean Blue guide Stephen Moderan onboard our smaller vessel, Edgewater 17ft, Mark and Sonia, three day fishing adventure saw them land some nice fish including Yellowfin tuna ranging from 40kg to 50kg+, GT, bluefin Trevally along with ample coastal bay catches. “We had a blast”, Mark Boyle.
For their apres fish Mark & Sonia experienced our island life along with our wellness service which was much needed after each day on the water. The couple dined under the stars and indulged with our island luxury dining.
