From their EdgeWater 230cc, through to the offshore 370cc, EdgeWater has an option to meet most angler’s demands. We recently ventured down to the 2022 Sydney International Boat Show to take a look for ourselves.

The EdgeWater 230cc boat spans 7.5m metres in length with a beam of 2.6m and has a dry weight of 1860kg. It can hold up to ten people and has a maximum engine capacity of 300 horsepower. Other notable EdgeWater 230CC features include:

Single Piece Infusion
EdgeWater is known for its single-piece infusion boats, crafted in a vacuum sealed moulded system. This unique design helps balance hull weight and creates a seamless design each time. The gloss-finished bilge and resin infusion are the two standout build features that make EdgeWater one of the leading boat-building brands on the market.
Multifunctional Features
The EdgeWater 230cc has many multifunctional features, making it ideal for either a day on the water with friends and family or chasing fish offshore.
The EdgeWater’s uniquely designed boat is built with comfort in mind, whilst also catering for the hardcore angler. You will find insulated fish boxes and storage under the 33-inch bench seat to keep your gear dry during the toughest conditions. The bilge and transom allow access to plumbing, through hulls, fuel tank and swim ladder.
Additionally, the centre console stores a table and a sun-pad insert that also turns into a casting deck, while beneath the helm seat you will find a 38L icebox. The EdgeWater 230cc also sports additional rod holders, under gunwale rod storage and self draining deck.
EdgeWater’s Electronic System
The 16-inch multifunctional GPS/Sounder or dual 12-inch displays features engine controls and your entertainment system. One of the more unique features is EdgeWater’s LED lights. With a few simple switches, you can activate lights on the foredeck, cockpit, and even underwater.
Each EdgeWater boat comes with a fusion stereo package with Bluetooth connections and JL Audio 7.7″ speakers. With a day on the water not complete without your favourite tunes, you’ll definitely want to take note of this feature.
EdgeWater 230cc Deck Equipment
The EdgeWater features an auto and manual 2000 GPH bilge pump along with a livewell bait pump. It also comes equipped with raw and freshwater washdown and self draining deck. Lastly, you have a 45 litre freshwater reservoir.

With EdgeWater’s Build My Boat feature on their website it allows boat buyers to add any extras, for not only comfort but to also stand out in the marina. From hull colour to electronics this feature allows you to build your dream boat.

High-Performance Engine
The EdgeWater 230cc doesn’t sacrifice power, there are two engine options:
- Yamaha 300 4-stroke engine
- Yamaha 250 4-stroke engine
Top speeds with the Yamaha 300 tally 52.4 mph at 5900 RPM, with optimal inshore and offshore performance, ensuring you get to your fishing spot of choice before anyone else. The Yamaha 300 also gives you slightly better gas mileage.
Is the EdgeWater 230cc Right for You?
While not designed for luxurious extended fishing trips, the EdgeWater 230cc certainly is a multifunctional fishing and day-trip boat. It combines multiple functions that serve as rod holders, cup holders, and everything else in between.
With luxury and practicability in mind, you also won’t sacrifice power, speed, or stability while on open waters. You can expect higher price tags with these boats since luxury and functionality aren’t cheap, but you won’t be disappointed in the performance.
