Meet the Redtail Roof Camper – Built Bear Tough

Ty and Annie Tastro didn’t set out to make a camper that was tough enough to withstand animal attacks when they designed the new Overland rooftop camper. They just wanted something that was lightweight and durable enough to get into tight spaces where campers and RVs can’t go.

The Redtail Overland’s innovative use of insulated carbon fibre manages to do both, at the same time.

The carbon fibre’s lightweight means the Redtail Overland is able to add a bunch of other notable features that will come in handy on your fishing trips, instead. It also means you’ll be comfortable even in extreme conditions.

Rigged for Power

One of the most interesting and exciting features of the Redtail roof camper is its got electricity. The lightweight of the carbon fibre means the chassis is able to support solar panels and a lithium-ion battery pack. These are used to power dimmable LED lights, a variable fan, and several USB-C and 110-volt outlets.

It even has a red lighting feature so you won’t destroy your night vision.

Insulated for Anything

The Redtail roof camper is ready for any environment. It has several dual-pane carbonate windows that are both removable and impact-resistant. It also features a diesel heater. You’re ready for the hot, cold, and everything in-between in this hard-shell camper.

Even the hinges are waterproof, so your fishing accessories are guaranteed to stay dry and secure when it’s stowed.

Spacious

Redtail Overland aren’t just extreme outdoors enthusiasts. They’ve also got a family. They kept the needs of both in mind when they were designing the Redtail roof camper.

The Redtail rooftop camper comes in two sizes. Either one is roomy enough for any sleeping configuration you can think of.

The RT-90 has an interior of 82” x 53” x 57”. The RT-110 has an interior space of 101” x 57” x 62”. Both feature a compartment for stowing your electronics.

Either one’s spacious enough for you and a buddy, your family, the family dog and, of course, all of your angling gear.

Safety Features

The Redtail rooftop camper may be lightweight but it is durable. As we said before, it’s strong enough to withstand bear attacks.

That’s just the beginning, though. Redtail Overland have labelled their camper “the world’s first hard-sided creation.” The impact-resistant windows and ability to be locked offer a level of safety and security not often found in rooftop camper models.

It’s also strong enough that it can support up to 3 gear crossbars without adding additional support racks.

Can the Redtail Rooftop Camper Go Anywhere?

In a word – yes. The main thing that inspired Redtail Overland to develop their rooftop camper is to offer a level of security and comfort in a smaller package, so you can get to places where RVs and campers just can’t reach.

This is one of the main things that makes the Redtail rooftop camper noteworthy for anglers, as you’ll be able to get to fishing spots off the beaten path. You get adventure, comfort, and durability with the Overland rooftop camper.

Features for Anglers

There are a few other aspects of the Overland rooftop camper that will be of particular interest to anglers. The spaciousness is its main selling point, for starters. You’ll have more than enough room for all your rods and tackle with either the RT-90 or RT-110.

You’ll be able to keep it safe when you’re not there, as well, as the Overland Rooftop is lockable, as well.

Lights and power are the other most notable features for anglers. The numerous USB-C and 110-volt outlets mean you’ll be able to charge all of the electronics you use for fishing. You’ll never be without your favourite tech tools, thanks to the rooftop camper’s solar panels and Lithium-ion battery pack.
