After you arrive at Port Vila International Airport, one of our Ocean Blue team members will meet you. Once your luggage is loaded, you’ll enjoy a scenic 40-minute drive to Trees and Fishes Private Retreat. Your host will greet you and explain the experience you’re about to embark on. Then, enjoy your favourite beverage while taking in the magnificent scenery.

Board one of our EdgeWater 318 Centre Console Sport Fishers for your first day fishing. Today it’s all about giant trevally. We’ll hit the inshore grounds where you’ll have the opportunity to target GT, red bass, coral trout and green job fish. You’ll be casting surface lures with a little trolling in between sessions switching wahoo, another extreme topwater target. Upon your return to the lodge enjoy a swim, or sit back with a beer and relax.

Board one of our EdgeWater 318 Centre Console Sport Fishers for your second day’s fishing. Today it’s all about dogtooth tuna. We’ll be fishing the known dogtooth tuna haunts where you’ll have the opportunity to drop your jig or live bait in the hope of landing a trophy. One of the toughest fish to land, once hooked just hold on! Other species often encountered while chasing dogtooth include amberjack, coral trout, red bass and jobfish. Then, enjoy a swim or relax with a beer.

For your third day of fishing, board one of our EdgeWater 318 Centre Console Sport Fishers. We'll again be focussing on targeting giant trevally today, as well as red bass, coral trout, and green job fish on the inshore grounds. Between sessions we again try our luck teasing wahoo, switching these speedsters to a casted stick bait. When you return to the lodge, take a dip in the pool, or sit back with a beer and enjoy.

On your last day of fishing, board one of our EdgeWater's 318 Centre Console Sport Fishers. Our focus today is again on trophy dogtooth tuna. As we fish the known dogtooth tuna spots, today we’ll jig and do some down rigging in hope of landing that final trophy. Make sure when you hook one today, just hold on! There will also be opportunities to catch amberjack, coral trout, red bass, and jobfish while chasing doggies. Afterward, back at the lodge, you can swim or relax with a beer at the bar.

Enjoy a cooked breakfast and spend your last morning at leisure swimming, snorkelling, or relaxing in the cascading pool. You will be transferred late morning for the scenic drive back to Port Vila airport in time for your afternoon flight.
